| Description: | Over a decade ago that Jacques Thienpont (Le Pin) made his first wine at L'If, the beautifully situated estate on the plateau of Saint Emilion, next to Château Troplong Mondot and Chateau Pavie-Macquin with gorgeous views over the medieval village. The 2019 Collines is made of a blend of 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc and is expressive and fresh with notes of autumn fruits, liquorice and spices. It has a lovely creamy texture and an conveys an accessibility, good richness and an attractive balance between fruit and soil with a touch of mint. The finish is long with the red fruit character that embodies Saint-Emilion wines.
