| Description: | History,. Released during Feis Ile 2015 to celebrate Ardbeg's 200th anniversary, this is a blend of old and young whisky, matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. Tasting Notes,. Nose: Sweet earthy peat and warm leather to start. Mossy green notes develop along with a mineral dryness old roof slates. Medicinal hints and traditional whisky warehouses sit behind that, with bung cloth, iodine and sea spray. Palate: Big medicinal hit to start, with fresh bandages joined by TCP. Ground coffee and sharp green leaves are joined by lime peel, orange peel and charcoal. Some spice develops, with soft nutmeg backed up by a cinnamon tingle. Finish: Warming finish, with lime peel, slate and ash. |
