Buisson Charles Meursault Bouches Cheres
Vintage: | 2020 |

Description: | Located in the extension of the Goutte d'Or on a hillside facing the east which extends towards the Poruzots and Genevrires, the Bouchres cru is undoubtedly one of the least known premier cru climates of the commune of Meursault. This sloping, stony and clayey-limestone area has rather steeply sloping blond soils (about 7 to 10%) and therefore well drained. The wines that come from it have a marked aerial character that is reminiscent of the Genevrires above or the lower part of Chevalier-Montrachet. It is still the most delicate and subtle of the estate's wines and its aging capacity is astonishing. A few bottles from the 50s and 60s are still in perfect shape. Honeysuckle and acacia abound with notes of lemon shortbread and lemon verbena too. There is lots of lovely ginger spice, sweet confit lemons and a wonderful racy acidity. |
