Harmand-Geoffroy Gevrey Chambertin la Bossiere 1er Cru Monopole (750ML)
From Gevrey-Chambertin
Vintage: | 2019 |
---|---|
Description: | 91 BH. Note: from a parcel of vines planted in 1988; the.45 ha vineyard is a monopole and the smallest 1er in Gevrey. Producer note: Philippe Harmand has assumed full responsibility for this 9 ha domaine that owns the tiny 1er monopole La Bossière. Tasting note: An ultra-fresh, high-toned and quite cool nose reflects the essence of red berry fruit along with whiffs of lavender, earth and wood toast. The delicious and relatively racy flavors exude a refreshing salinity on the chiseled, youthfully austere and lingering finish. As is often the case, this linear and slightly lean effort will need to add flesh with time in bottle. Lovely and a bit better than it usually is at this stage. Outstanding. –Allen Meadows, Burghound |
