Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Twice Barreled
| Description: | This bourbon was made from Bt Rye Mash #2, distilled and barreled in April 1993. After eight years and eight months in new, charred American oak, the whiskey was moved to brand new American oak cask; both casks were brought to a #4 char. Only one barrel was produced. After aging for a total of twelve years (and 19.25% evaporation), the barrel was emptied in February 2006 and bottled at 45% Abv. Very spicy with an oak sappiness. Loads of maple syrup and corn sweetness up front, with the spice and some subtle lush fruit kicking in midpalate.
