With successive generations, vintage by vintage, they have added new chapters to its story. Each line of vignerons has strived towards the same goal: to preserve this unique vineyard and pass it down to the next generation. Pomerol is located on a plateau that gently slopes down towards the valley of the Isle river, a tributary of the Dordogne. Situated around a precious central core of clay, known as the PĂŠtrus clay button. Neighbors to Vieux Chateau Certan, Chateau L'Evangile, and adjacent to Chateau Cheval Blanc in Saint-Emilion. As all wine in Pomerol, they were never classified like the wines from the left bank (Haut-Medoc) but Chateau La Conseillante is considered to be one of the great wines of all Bordeaux. "2015 was a superb vintage in Bordeaux. We could even rank it as outstanding in the Pomerol appellation. It is a long-ageing vintage just like 2009. The crew at La Conseillante worked tirelessly in the pursuit of the finest quality of fruit in the vines and precision winemaking in the cellars.
