Scott Family Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir
Description: | Food Recommendation: This fine balanced wine is extremely food-friendly and versatile. Pair it with your favorite recipes for salmon, tuna or any grilled meats - including beef, turkey, duck or chicken. Also wonderful with your favorite cheese plate with chevres or brie. Winemaker's Notes: Scott Family Pinot Noir is crafted from a blend of Dijon Clones grown on our estate in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. This cool region in California provides a longer growing season that contributes to the complexity of flavor and fruit intensity of our Pinot Noir. Region Description. (pee noh nwahr)—A tricky grape to grow, Pinot Noir makes some of the best wines in the world. The prototype wine is red Burgundy from France but Oregon, California, New Zealand, and parts of Australia also produce good Pinot Noir. The wine is lighter in color than Cabernet or Merlot with relatively high alcohol, medium-to-high acidity, and medium-to-low tannin. Its flavors and aromas can be very fruity or earthy and woodsy, depending on how it is grown. It is rarely blended with other grapes. |
