Description: | Natural Wine. This savory red is a blend of Sankt Laurent and Blaufrankisch, fermented in a concrete egg for nine months. The nose is expressive and earthy, with notes of red and black berries and a hint of tomato. Texture-wise, it drinks very similar a Pinot Noir with good acidity. This is a fun natural wine that will go well with a variety of dishes, or enjoy on its own with a slight chill. Region: Burgenland. Grape: Sankt Laurent, Blaufrankisch. Soil: sandy loam. Winemaking: whole cluster, 45 day maceration of Blaufrankisch, spontaneous fermentation in concrete eggs with indigenous yeasts. Aging: 9 months in concrete eggs. Added S02: minimal. |
