| Description: | Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced their fourth release of the coveted O.f.c. Bourbon Whiskey, distilled in 1994 and aged 25 years. The O.f.c. name is a nod to the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery, the original name of the distillery now known as Buffalo Trace. The site, a national historic landmark, has been known by several different names during its 150-year history, some taken from familiar figures like George T. Stagg. First released in the fall of 2016, previous vintages of the distillery's rare O.f.c. have included several that were only available for charitable organizations. Foundations around the country auctioned bottles to raise more than a million dollars for causes that range from veteran services to cancer research. Like previous releases, O.f.c. 1994 will come bottled in hand-cut crystal and copper decanters packaged in a polished wooden case. Last year's release, another 25-year bourbon distilled in 1993, saw less than 1,000 bottles hit the market, and we can expect this years to be equally rare. |
