| Description: | 100% Cannonau. This is a delicious, easy-to-drink red like many of the Garnachas and Grenaches along the Mediterranean coastline. Here we're in the northeastern corner of Sardinia, in the sandy and gravelly granitic soils of Gallura, making for a unique expression of Cannonau. Youthfully primary and concentrated for its medium weight, with juicy cherry and vibrant raspberry and pomegranate along with fresh aromatic herbs, and just a touch of sun-kissed fruit skin and softly ripe tannins on the clean finish. It's sunshine in a bottle! Serve at a cool 58-60F. "Once fortresses built by ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean, Naracu (or Nuraghe) can still be found across the island of Sardegna. Cannonau, the islands primary red grape, creates wines with red berry fruit and herbaceous, savory notes. The Surrau Naracu Cannonau is an open and fresh wine with more typical Mediterranean fruit and mineral expressions of the granitic soil of Gallura.". Aged in stainless steel. |
