| Description: | From the heart of Bío-Bío in southern Chile comes this 150-year-old-vine País (Mission here in California). Those vines work extremely hard to ripen, and alcohol is just 11.5%. The wine is 40% whole-cluster open-top fermented and aged for six months in a mixture of pipas (barrels made from the local Raulí wood) and tiñejas (amphorae). Very pale in color, there are fresh, carbonic aromas of roses, strawberry, raspberry, and sweet spices, with a gripping, grainy texture. |
