| Description: | Winemaker John Lockwood decided a few years ago to make Tempranillo as no one else in California was doing a good enough job. We're glad he did, because this is a fantastic wine, Spanish in style, Californian in nature. Just five barrels were made, one of which was American. It's developing a nice maturity, with aromas of dried fruits, leather, and game with oak aromas of dill and coconut, as well as red fruits, spice, and a firm tannic grip. Quietly serious. |
