Paul Hobbs Hyde Pinot Noir

Vintage: 2017
Description: Winemaker Notes \r\nSince the winery\u2019s inception in 1991, they have crafted a vineyard designate wine to capture the depth and elegance offered by this esteemed site. The deep ruby color and bright notes of rose tea, spiced cherry, and earth aromas has all the hallmarks of a classic vintage from this vineyard. Fine-grained tannins provide a silky mouthfeel, while flavors of boysenberry, cocoa, and dried herbs add complexity to the refreshing acidity that supports the finish that is clean and long. Brilliant with hickory smoked duck breast with shiso, nori and persimmon.\r\nAbout Paul Hobbs Vineyard\r\nPaul Hobbs Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard, Carneros, Napa Valley One of the first vineyards Paul Hobbs sourced from since the winery was founded in 1991, the wine exhibits aromas of black fruits and cherry that lead to a palate of ripe currant and clean earth. Firm tannins and touch of acidity grace a long finish.\r\nIn 1991, pioneering winemaker Paul Hobbs established Paul Hobbs Winery. The Paul Hobbs Katherine Lindsay Estate in Sebastopol, California, purchased in 1998, would later be the site of his Howard Backen designed winery, completed in 2003. The winery exemplifies his vision and dedication to sustainability and his on-going quest to refine the art of winemaking with minimal intervention, yet meticulous care.\r\nOur vineyard designate and appellation wines are a pure expression of our interaction with nature and place, featuring Chardonnay (Russian River Valley, Sonoma Mountain), Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Carneros) and Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley).\r\n
