| Description: | Sidekick Merlot 2017 is a blended with 15% Cabernet Franc. Both are fermented in stainless steel vertical fermenters. Maceration is 16 to 20 days with once a day pump over. One third of the merlot and all the cabernet franc is then introduced to new French oak and aged for a minimum of six months. Final blending is done a month before bottling. This wine is structured and earthy. Merlot has fallen out of fashion, but don't believe Paul Giamatti. This is one of the true great grapes of the world. |
