Domaine Michel Bouzereau Meursault Les Grands Charrons

Vintage: 2021
Description: Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils is one of Meursault's most distinguished growers, creating rich and voluptuous wines. Grands Charrons sits at the same height as the Meursault Premiers Crus but with a more easterly exposure. This wine is beautifully aromatic with a bouquet of toasted hazelnuts, orange blossom and butterscotch. The palate offers up flavours of white fruits with a sublime honeyed richness and hint of toasted oak. Vinification and aging: 12 months in barrels, new at 15%, then 2 to 4 months in vats. France Burgundy Cotes de Beaune Meursault Varietal: Chardonnay Terroir: ideally located, mid-slope in the extension of the 1er cru on a limestone terroir at the top of the hillsides, more alluvial at the bottom of the plot. The 70 year old vines mingle with the younger 25 year old ones. Description: The nose of this Meursault Les Grands Charrons is of orchard fruits, fresh almond, honeysuckle and subtle brioche notes. The palate is mineral, typical of the plot's limestone terroir. It is frank and offers a beautiful volume. The finish is harmonious between salinity and infusion flavors.
