| Description: | "grand Courolet". Beautiful Savagnin from a 5-hectare plot called Grand Curoulet previously owned by Robert Aviet, but which Domaine Pelican bought in 2012. The local grape Savagnin really thrives here, ripening late and resulting in very energetic and mineral wines with enormously long aftertastes. Without the traditional oxidation, the grape's true aroma profile can be expressed with notes of fresh exotic fruit, spice and hints of toasted hazelnut and white pepper. |
