| Description: | 2020 is recognized as a remarkable year for white Burgundy. Marked by both complex and singular climatic hazards, the 2020 vintage stands out for its great precocity and its heterogeneity between the terroirs and the different appellations. It is a true reflection of the diversity of the Burgundian vineyard. The Chardonnays develope -like most of the white grape varieties of the region- fruity wines, with an assertive aromatic complexity and a great freshness. The Saint Vran climat "La Combe Desroches" 2020 is a parcel-based cuve of the Domaine de la Soufrandire, from vines taken over in 2016 by the estate and converted to organic and biodynamic farming. The parcel faces due east on the foot of the Roche de Vergisson and rests on a marly clay soil absolutely ideal for the development of Chardonnays. |
