| Description: | Molise is not the first place you think of when it comes to wine in Italy but Di Majo Norante is the province's best-known producer. The Don Luigi Riserva is the winery's flagship and, seriously, one of the most fun, most delicious and compellingly serious reds we've had recently. I've been on a bit of a Montepulciano grape kick of late in preparation for a trip to Abruzzo and Le Marches I am going to take this fall. With this dark, pungent and savory red in mind, I may have to go further south too! Lots of brilliant red fruit, a nice veneer of oak (just the right amount) and a finish that goes on and on, this is just a gas to drink and a knockout partner to your next spaghetti and meatballs feast! Really, give this a try. Or come in an try it tonight at our Winebow tasting as we'll have it open. Very highly recommended. |
