Sourced from the "Les Poyeux" vineyard, made famous by the insanely priced Clos Rougeard, the $35 price tag is looking like a major bargain. Green pepper corns, dried violets, figs, tomato leaf, blackberries and blueberries. The light mid-palate and the red fruit acidity is lightly grippy, with a wet soil characteristic, showing why Cab Franc is King in the Loire. |
