Tooth & Nail Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
Cabernet Sauvignon
Description: | I'm getting bombarded with the same question these days: can you recommend a good Cab that won't break the bank? It's a question I take seriously and therefore perform a lot of research. My conclusion is a bright-labeled Paso Robles bottling: Tooth & Nail Cabernet Sauvignon. Paso Robles has been increasing in prominence as a Cabernet Sauvignon growing region in recent years, and bottles like this demonstrate why. It's a big, juicy, fruit-forward cab that tastes of ripe cherries, plumb, raspberry, and cassis. A ten-month barreling in mostly used and 25% new French oak adds to the body and character in a delightfully complementary fashion. Enjoy this wine as an accompaniment to a hearty beef stroganoff with noodles, or a rich and meaty stew. Another great choice is to pair with Apricity from Alemar Cheese Company, a new soft and tangy cow's milk cheese produced locally and sold in our cheese shop! -Brian Krause, Surdyk's Wine Consultant |
