Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc

Description: Mulderbosch was founded in 1989. From the first vintage, the fledgling winery captured the attention and respect of the wine world, helping to create a reputation for South Africa as a source of world-class wines. Mulderbosch crafts an extensive range of award-winning bottlings from a variety of other grapes. The farm has attained both critical and commercial success while consistently earning Wine Spectator "Smart Buy" and "Outstanding Value" accolades. The 48 hectare estate is situated in the prime Koelenhof area of Stellenbosch. Harmony is central to the Mulderbosch philosophy, and the farm has been developed with strict attention to the environment. 25% of the Mulderbosch property has been dedicated to a conservancy, ensuring the preservation of indigenous vegetation and wildlife. All of the equipment at Mulderbosch has been chosen to ensure minimal handling of the grapes during the winemaking process. Strains of Mozart echo through the cellar during fermentation, perhaps imparting the wines with added finesse and sophistication. The winery is designed to allow underground maturation in barrel for a minimum of two years and subsequent maturation in bottle for up to three years.
