| Description: | 91-93 Wa / 91-93 Vm / 91-93 Bh. The 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards is showing very well, bursting with notes of smoky berry fruit, plums and spices. Medium to full-bodied, gourmand and enveloping, with fine tannins and lively acids, it's a touch more dynamic than the similarly sensual 2018 rendition.-William Kelley, The Wine Advocate. Tasting note: A much more floral-inflected nose exhibits notes of violet, lavender and rose petal along with those of black cherry and plum. The texture of the medium-bodied flavors is a combination of power and refinement with an almost pungent minerality that adds a sense of lift to the firm and chiseled but not really austere finale.
