| Description: | 90-93 Jm / 16+ Jr. Pretty pink purple, with a lightly reductive nose. Lively red fruit, clean fresh raspberry notes with a bit more stuffing behind. A Monthelie with finesse and notable persistence. It may be the ‘entry level' Lafon red, but it would not be easy to find a finer Monthelie.-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. Lighter red than usual, apparently. Bitter-cherry fruit on the nose, bright and slightly tart on the end. Round tannins.-Jancis Robinson |
