Gosset 12 Ans de Cave A Minima Rose Nv (750ml)

From Champagne

Description: 95 We / 94 Ws / 94 Jd / 94 De / 92 Wa. Long aging in Gosset's cellars has given this rosé Champagne great richness. It is still textured and nervy with a line of minerality alongside the freshness. It is now a perfectly mature wine that is ready to drink. - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast. A vibrant rosé Champagne, with firm, well-honed acidity deftly wrapped in a smooth texture and rich notes of marzipan, dried white cherry, blood orange peel and salted Marcona almond. Reveals hints of ground ginger, lemon thyme and wet chalk, with a long, lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2030. 150 cases imported. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator. Spending a minimum of 12 years on the lees between bottling and disgorgement, with the base vintages of 2007 and 2008, the Nv Champagne 12 Ans Rose pours a more salmon-orange hue with a bit more pigment. It's expressive on opening, with a lush perfume of apricot, jasmine, and fresh croissant dough. The mousse is seamless, with a savory flourish on the finish. This is a more gastronomic expression to enjoy over the coming 15-20 years. Disgorgement in March of 2021. - Audrey Frick, Jeb Dunnuck. The amber-golden colour of the wine is flecked with pink and the nose opens with notions of rosehip tisane and dried raspberry leaf. The palate is both super-creamy and brisk, testament to Gosset's non-malolactic style. Interchanging notions of sourdough and salty shortbread denote the long ageing. While fruit has receded, there is a certain Pinot-driven generosity and ample juiciness. The palate remains absolutely fresh and poised with a very fine mousse and a textural richness that speaks of profound chalk. This has all the makings of a gastronomic Champagne. - Ak, Decanter. Gosset's Nv Brut Rosé 12 Ans de Cave a Minima is showing nicely, offering up aromas of peach, nutmeg, bitter orange and warm biscuits, followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless and suave palate with a pillowy mousse and racy but nicely integrated acids. This new bottling delivers very good complexity and elegant evolution at the brut non-vintage level. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
