A partnership between winemaker Andy Erickson and Huneeus Vintners, the 2020 Leviathan blends 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 13% Petite Sirah, 7% Syrah, 5% Petite Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Sourced from such diverse regions as Red Hills (Lake County), Coombsville (Napa) and Moon Mountain (Sonoma), it's a bit less dramatic and flamboyant than the 2019 but is still a ripe, plush wine for early drinking. Medium to full-bodied, it boasts mixed berry fruit, vanilla and cedar shadings and a long, corpulent finish. |
