| Description: | 95 pts James Suckling April 2021 Very attractive blueberry and black-cherry aromas with some tarragon undertones. It's full-bodied with chewy tannins that show layers and polish. Needs more time to come together. Try after 2023, but very attractive now. 92 pts Wine Advocate Sept 2021 The impressive 2019 Q Cabernet Franc was produced with grapes from Altamira and San Pablo, from the same vineyard used for Polígonos. It's varietal and elegant with the freshness from the year and the places, as the grape seems to be quite transparent for the conditions of the vineyards. It's spicy, peppery, floral and herbal, with fine chalky tannins. It's very impressive in this price range. This matured in 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak vats. I find that the Malbec and this Cabernet Franc are the foundation of the Q range. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020. Drink: 2021-2025. 91 pts Vinous Oct 2020 A Cabernet Franc from the Uco Valley, 100% aged in foudres and barrels. Herbal and mentholated on the nose, offering notes of cigar ash and sweet and sour cherry. In the mouth, crisp with firm tannins and plenty of freshness that results in a juicy feel, keeping the volume in check. Fluid but constrained; an interesting wine. 2020 - 2027 |
