| Description: | The Villero Cru is in Castiglione Falletto where the two main sub-soil types of Barolo (Helvetian and Tortonian) cross. This cru delivers a richer, bigger Barolo than the other Crus of Montforte d'Alba. This is traditional in style with a long maceration and large Slovenian cask aging. Dried roses, strawberries, orange zest and a creamy texture on the palate that cloaks big tannins and acidity. Built for age, this is just entering its drinking window. |
