Description: Winemaker Notes\r\n\r\n\r\nBright straw-yellow color with slightly shimmering hints of gold. Intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit (peach, apricot), floral notes (rose petal) and hints of ginger. Sweet and delicate on the palate, with modest acidity, and good balance and complexity. Hints of fresh apricot on the finish.\r\nFood Pairings - Pan-Asian cuisine and lobster as well as pastry, fruit based and creamy desserts and blue cheeses. Also excellent as an aperitif.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbout Vietti Winery\r\nLocated in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, the Vietti wine cellar was founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti.\r\nThe estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly-prized terroirs within the Barolo winegrowing area.\r\nAlthough they have been making wine for 4 generations, the turning point came in the 1960s when Luciana Vietti married winemaker and art connoisseur Alfredo Currado, whose intuitions \u2013 from the production of one of the first\u00a0Barolo crus\u00a0(Rocche di Castiglione \u2013 1961), through the single-varietal vinification of\u00a0Arneis\u00a0(1967) to the invention of\u00a0Artist Labels\u00a0(1974) \u2013 made him both symbol and architect of some of the most significant revolutions of the time.\r\nHis intellectual, professional and prospective legacy was taken up by\u00a0Luca Currado Vietti\u00a0(Luciana and Alfredo\u2019s son) and his wife\u00a0Elena, who have contributed to the success of the Vietti brand \u2013 universally recognized today as being one of the very finest Italian wine labels \u2013 by continuing along the path of the pursuit of quality, considered experimentation and working for expansion and consolidation internationally.\r\nIn\u00a02016\u00a0the historic winery was acquired by Krause Holdings, enabling Luca and Elena, always at the head of Vietti brand, to add a number of prized crus to the estate\u2019s holdings, and be able as a result to look to a future with new, stimulating prospects, all while maintaining the family approach for which the cellar has always been known.
