| Description: | Built from a base of the 2000 vintage with 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996 and disgorged in December of 2017 with 0g/l dosage, this is pretty outstanding. The extended time on the lees coupled with extreme concentration and vinosity delivers so much pleasure, you definitely forget that it is a Brut Nature as it does not come of austere or overtly racy in the slightest. Cuvee Louis is vinified and oak which adds wonderful texture, richness and depth to the wine. As Antonio Galloni put it, "the Cuvee Louis is positively stellar, with fewer of the oxidative notes that I have seen in other bottles. Apricot, chamomile, dried flowers and spice are woven together in this creamy, super-expressive Champagne." |
