| Description: | The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Champerrier comes from 0.27 hectares of 60-year-old vines that has belonged to the Magnien family. It has a lovely bouquet of mainly black fruit and touches of camphor and rose petals. The palate is silky-smooth on the entry and displays fine acidity. Beautifully balanced, with a seamless, caressing finish that is as good as many a Premier Cru. Highly recommended. From vines averaging 55 years-old, grown in crinoidal limestone soil. Only indigenous yeasts used during fermentations, aging for twelve months in barrel, 50% new. Not fined or filtered. |
