Roy-prevostat Chablis Les Lys 1er Cru France, Chablis

Roy-prevostat Chablis Les Lys 1er Cru France, Chablis

Vintage: 2002
Description: One of those complicated Burgundy labeling deals, but this is in fact a Daniel Defaix wine and boy, it a great bottle of Chablis. Defaix/Roy-Prevostat, usually release some wines fairly late and that is an added bonus for consumers looking to enjoy mature wines that have been cellared properly at the source and not bounced around the world. "(opened from personal storage). A beautifully complex and fully yet fresh nose speaks of typical Chablis aromas that include iodine, sea breeze, mineral reduction and soft citrus nuances. There is excellent verve and the same fine depth to the detailed and stony medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent length as well as the typical finesse and refinement of a classic Les Lys. In sum, this beauty is at its peak though it should hold here for another 5 to 7 years, perhaps even a bit longer." 92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound)
