Peychaud's Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cocktail Bitters 148ml

Drink Mixers

Description: Manufacturer's Notes: In the early 1800's, Antoine Amedie Peychaud, an apothecary, gained fame in New Orleans for this compounding of a liquid tonic called bitters. These bitters gave an added zest to the potions of cognac brandy he served in his pharmacy. By the 1870s as American Rye Whiskey became more popular and more readily available, Peychaud added his bitters to Rye cocktails at the world famous Sazerac Coffeehouse in the French Quarter. This unique offering of Barrel Aged Peychaud's Bitters embodies the rich history associated with Peychaud's Bitters and Rye Whiskey. Aged in Sazerac Rye Whiskey barrels for 140 days, these Peychaud's Barrel Aged Bitters add a flavorful, spicy twist to any cocktail. Each drop has the same hints of oak, candied spice and vanilla can be found in every sip of Sazerac Rye Whiskey.
