| Description: | 90+ pts Wine Advocate March 2020 Also known as the Reserve Red Blend, the 2016 Trilogy is a blend of 51% Cabernet Franc, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. The nose bursts with aromas of generous dark-fruit notes over a dense, chewy core of oak and floral scents. Full-bodied, the palate displays chewy blackberry skin, currant and cassis fruit and has a well-integrated oak structure that shows off its 60% new French oak. The finish is long and thoughtful and lingers with persistence and natural beauty. Give it time, you will reward your future self. 90 pts Wine Spectator 5/31/20 Full-bodied, with ripe currant and blackberry fruit, underscored by vibrant acidity and firm, chewy tannins. This is quite polished, showing a charming mouthfeel, but needs more time for the tannins to integrate. Should develop nicely. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2023 through 2033. |
