Blackberries, ground herbs, pepper, spice box, and licorice-laced black cherries all define the bouquet, and it hits the palate with a silky, expansive texture, no hard edges, and a great finish. It shows the pure, balanced, seamless style of this vintage beautifully. It's terrific today yet has the tannin, balance, and length to keep for 7-8 years. Vn 94 Vinous, February 2020 Shimmering ruby. Ripe red and blue fruits, potpourri, incense and exotic spices on the deeply perfumed nose. Stains the palate with sweet black raspberry, blueberry, spicecake, vanilla and floral pastille flavors. Shimmering ruby.
