| Description: | In 1513, the records of Sancerre mention the Mellot family, which is today perpetuated by Alphonse Mellot Jr., the 19th to bear the name. "La Demoiselle" is his cuvee from a deep flinty clay terroir on the peak of Sancerre, in the heart of the appellation. Crafted from biodynamically-grown Sauvignon Blanc, it bursts from the glass with lemon, grapefruit, elderflower, and saline with a subtle richer note from 10 months aging in large oak vats. |
