| Description: | 92 Vm / 90 Jm / 16 Jr. The 2020 Pernand-Vergelesses Blanc En Caradeux 1er Cru has a vibrant, much steelier bouquet compared to the Clos des Mouches from Domaine du Pavillon. It is much more mineral-driven, with wet limestone and white fruit hints. It's subtle but effective. The palate is decently balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Tangy Clementine and mandarin interlace with citrus peel, dovetailing into a lively spicy finish that begs you to return for more. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (July 2024) -- Neal Martin, Vinous Media. One Pernand-Vergelesses was slipped in to keep the Beaunes company. Slightly paler and less depth to the nose. This has a clean white fruit with an attractive mineral thread, then builds nicely to the back of the palate. Less power than others in the flight - unsurprisingly. Drink from 2024-2028.-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. Cask sample. Understated but very appealing Pernand. Richness on the palate. Plenty of acidity. Touch of agrumes.
