| Description: | This dry hopped, oak aged, sour ale is something special. 15 spectacular 25,000L oak vessels have been erected inside the famous Petrus Aging Cellar within Brouwerij Bavik. The beerr is brewed and then aged in these vessels to mature for between 20 - 30 months! The product emerges with an oaky aroma with hints of sherry and fruit, among a depth of other flavors which make this beer pair well with many spicy dishes. The finished product is the mother beer that was once only used as a blend to produce other Petrus brands. It wasn't until the famous beer writer, Michael Jackson, visited Brouwerij Bavik and recommended that they sell the brand, did the brewer begin producing Petrus Aged Pale for commercial use. We are so glad that they did! |
