George was instrumental in creating Mortlach. Alexander introduced the ingenious distilling method. Uniquely Distilled. Mortlach is crafted using alexander's unique process, so the taster of 'The Beast of Dufftown' is not that usually found on Speyside. 2.81 Distilled Mortlach has a depth of flavour Rarely seen in any Malt Whisky. Made by Malt Masters. Our masters have skilfully combined a characterful range of finely aged casks to bring out all the complexity of the rich, swirling aromas and sweet-savoury layers of flavour in this Mortlach 18 year old. Opulent Taste. A bright amber colour introduces aromas of fresh green apple and dried raisin with a savoury core suffused with candied chestnut and blackcurrant and later, toasted oak, there's an intense, honeyed sweetness on the creamy-smooth palate too, balanced by cocoa, rich damson fruit and a roasted spicy depth, all building to an appetisingly bitter-sweet and drying finish. |
