Pinot Noir

Description: | Grape: Pinot Noir Tasting Notes: Black Currant, Raspberry, Eucalyptus, Forest Floor The appellation of Sancerre, while mainly known for world class Sauvignon Blanc grapes, is also one of the finest regions in France for the production of Pinot Noir, thanks to the warm, continental climate of the Upper Loire. Domaine Fournier is one of the most venerated estates in the region, with vineyards spanning across 150 acres of the appellation. This Pinot Noir is deliciously fruit forward, with black currant and raspberry at the forefront, followed by baking spice, eucalyptus, and forest floor undertones which accentuate the juicy, red fruit base. Round body and smoothly textured, with characteristically delicate Pinot Noir tannic structure and a hint of smoke on the finish. |
