Grooner Gruner Veltliner

Gruner Veltliner

Vintage: 2016
Description: Technical notes Alcohol: 12% vol; Total acidity: 5.8 g/l; Residual sugars: 4 g/l, dry. Producer The Forstreiter family has been making wine since 1868, but it has been the current owner and winemaker, Meinhard Forstreiter, who has brought the vineyard to a new level of quality and reputation. The vineyard is situated in Krems-Hollenburg in the Kremstal, along the right bank of the Danube River, across from the Wachau. There has been wine production in and around Hollenburg since the Roman Empire. This fairly shouts gruner in its fresh and exuberant flavors of lime and lentil. Its tangy acidity will match well with a goat cheese salad. (Apr 2018) Sour Apples and citrus, tropical fruit notes, balanced acidity, wine for any occasion.
