Catena Malbec
| Description: | Serving as the winery's mainstay since its early days, each vintage of Catena Malbec wine begins its life with 100% Malbec grapes grown in their High Mountain Estate Vineyards. After being harvested, de-stemmed, and pressed, the grapes are cold macerated at 48ÂşF for 5 days before undergoing vinification for 22 days in temperature-controlled vats. The resulting wine then spends 12-14 months in select first, second, and third-fill oak barrels to further develop its flavors before finally being tapped, bottled, and labeled, ready to be enjoyed by wine drinkers around the world. |
