For centuries, one of the main agricultural products of the Upper Nervion Valley in Northern Spain was Txakoli wine. In the late 19th century, the arrival of pests and disease coupled with increasing industrialisation led to a sharp drop in grape growing for Txakoli wine until it practically disappeared. Since the early 1990s, a group of Txakoli enthusiasts has been working hard at recovering this grape variety. Arzabro Txakolina is a family winery located in Delika, close to the impressive Nervion Waterfall. Our family has been linked to agricultural activities for generations.
