| Description: | The 2017 Chardonnay is whole-bunch-pressed and matured in 30% new oak with no malolactic. The tightly wound bouquet features scents of lemon curd and passion fruit, the oak discreet and playing a supporting role. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with hints of almond and nougat interlacing the citrus fruit. Perhaps the new oak element is a little too vocal on the finish, though I expect it to be assimilated with a couple of years in bottle. |
