| Description: | Wine maker notes The Sportoletti family, who have been farmers for generations, have always been passionately dedicated to wine production. Towards the end of the 1970s, the brothers Ernesto and Remo, reaping the benefits of what their father Vittorio taught them, decided to dedicate themselves exclusively to wine production. In 1979 the first one thousand bottles were produced with their own label. Since then they have constantly been researching the perfect balance between innovation and tradition, using their skills to take the best advantage of the potential of the land-the hills between Spello and Assisi- where their 30 hectares of vineyard are situated. At present, five different wines are produced: Assisi Rosso Doc, Assisi Grechetto Doc, Villa Fidelia Bianco Igt, Villa Fidelia Rosso IGT e Villa Fidelia Passito Igt. Over the past ten years production has been stable at approximately 200,000 bottles per year. Since 1998 the company has had the excellent advice of the enologist and agronomist Riccardo Cotarella. On the borders of the national park of Monte Subasio, at about 500 metres above sea level, the company has approximately 2000 Moraiolo olive trees, the fruit of which produces an excellent Organic Extra virgin Olive Oil. Technical notes Chemical data. Alcohol content : 13,5% vol. Total acidity : 5,80 g. per litre. Dry extract : 23,50 g. per litre.
