This began with a very ripe character but gained freshness and a higher pitch in the glass as the tannins came into harmony. Still, there's an edgy quality to the finish that I did not notice in the 2009 or 2010. This will be the first release of a new wine from Bill Harlan, from a property just over a mile south of Harlan Estate, in the hills above Dominus. -- Stephen Tanzer |
