| Description: | Practicing Organic Farming. 100% Prieto Picudo. This rosado lies between a typical rose' and a lightly-structured red, made by a 2-day maceration of the skins (typical rose' wines experience only hours of skin contact). The color, aromas and flavors that have been gently extracted make for a cool-tempered, understated, lightly-structured red wine drinking experience. Mid-bodied, with a subtle mix of brambly dark-red and black berries, a dusting of cacao, subtle spice (pepper), very low tannin content and a clean finish. A great partner for lighter Summer meals, like grilled chicken or lamb and veggie skewers (red bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini). Try this at 55-58f. Sourced from old vines on stony clay on the high-altitude (800-900m Asl) plateau outside of Len in northwestern Spain. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in tank. Briefly aged on the fine lees in tank for four months. |
