| Description: | A classic right-bank blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on gravelly and sandy soils. The property was purchased from Baroness Arthur de Brezets by the Escure family (Chateau Bellisle Mondotte) in 1924. Dark fruits with seamless oak and tannins create a canvas of pomegranate, sweet tobacco, figs, herbs and a light rosemary tinged bitterness. The ripe 2015 vintage allows this to drink joyfully tonight. |
