| Description: | 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc. 2016 saw perfect growing conditions: a dry summer, cool nights, and rain in late August to slow ripening all led to small, thick-skinned, ripe grapes and aromatic, fragrant wines high in acidity and tannin. From historic Pessac producer, this is heady and ripe, balanced by integrated oak, fresh acidity, and spicy overtones. Still young, to be enjoyed over the next 20 years. |
