| Description: | Tasting Notes\r\nNostre Pa\u00efs White is more about freshness, purity and balance that about exuberance. It offers fabulous notes of fresh citrus, white flowers and flint. Medium-bodied and focused, its soft finish evinces a great deal of minerality. In 2018 we were blessed with harvest conditions of cool and sunny weather, a perfect Mistral and very little humidity. As a result we brought in perfectly healthy grapes with an ideal maturity. Our whites and ros\u00e9s are very aromatic with a beautiful freshness of fruit and an ample mouthfeel, smooth and vivacious.\r\nAbout Michal Gassier\r\nI see myself as a \u201cpeasant-researcher\u201d. The \u201cpeasant\u201d side is in my genes, a family trait. I am deeply attached to this land where I grew up. As far back as I can remember, working in the vineyards is a real pleasure for me. I am convinced that the less we intervene, the more the terroir can express itself.\r\nBy observing, listening, respecting the land and its vineyards and by being patient, letting it have the time it needs, the terroir will give its very best for us and for future generations.\r\nMy \u201cresearcher\u201d side has more to do with my character. A bit of a perfectionist, I\u2019m also a doubting Thomas. I consider each of my wines a unique creation that requires its own approach in the vineyards, the winery and the cellar.\r\nI enjoy exchanging with other terroir-driven winemakers around the world, discovering their convictions, their methods. Once home, I often find myself tinkering with what I\u2019ve seen, exploring how our combination of soils, varietals and winemaking interprets their techniques.\r\nWorking with instinct and intellectual rigor, my goal is to further my understanding of my terroirs, limiting myself to doing what is essential at precisely the right moment, thinking outside the box and avoiding simplistic recipes.\r\nThat, for me, is how you can produce great wines. It\u2019s also a matter of teamwork, a duo that my wife, Tina and I form. Together we\u2019ve chosen the exceptional terroirs to have given birth to the wines of Michel Gassier.\r\nA fervent defender of Costi\u00e8res de N\u00eemes and my Camargue, I\u2019m dedicated to crafting wines that are intimate expressions of my terroir and that demonstrate the potential and richness of our appellation. |
