It was purchased by Louis Jadot in 1996, at which time Maison Louis Jadot. Château des Jacques' practices have been attributed with revolutionizing the winemaking of Beaujolais. Château des Jacques Moulin-à-Vent Clos de Rochegrès is a special cuvée from old vines. It is a blend of 8 single vineyards that has elegant tannins, bright acidity, lovely balance, nice complexity and depth. The generous palate exudes flavors of cherry, red berries, earth, roses, and anise, with touches of mushroom and oak. A nice match for veal chops. |
